Steve Wood

Hi.  I have been a member of WCC for a few years now and after a brief stint looking after the website I suddenly find myself president of the club.

My main interests are probably landscape but I am known for my underwater work (because it makes me unique in the club, not due to any particular skill).  I do a lot of photography while on holiday (above as well as below the water) so I have now failed to get that killer shot in lots of wonderful countries.  Feel free to come and talk to me about travel, diving, the club or anything else that takes your fancy.

Steve

Here is a selection of images from a recent holiday to Laos. A beautiful country with beautiful people.

Saying "Farewell" - This was actually taken in Bangkok railway station, where we caught the train to the Laos border

Early Start - It was an early start for me as well in Vang Vieng but the light was worth it

River Boats - There is very little on the other side of the river in Vang Vieng but the little wooden bridge gave some good opportunities.

Saffron - Luang Prebang is famous for its temples and monks. These youngsters were in a small temple across the river from the main town

One More Trip - It was a two day trip down the mighty Mekong to get back to Thailand but the overnight at a hotel coincided with a superb sunset.
