Hi there. When I
retired as a broadcaster from BBC North in Leeds, I seriously believed that
my hobbies, photography and golf, would fill most of my days. Wrong !
Firstly I looked after my lurcher bitch, Bonnie, and when she died I was
persuaded that it would be a good idea to get another hound. Wrong again !
Now it’s Alfie who dominates my time and I am lucky to be able to get away
to do anything at all.
In the meantime I decided
to resume as a member of Wakefield Camera Club. I had been an active
participant in the 90’s and through the turn of the century but then took a
break before returning. I was amazed at how many new members had joined up
whilst I was away and shocked to discover they were all great image makers.
In the past I had featured regularly as a prize winner but since my return
(in 2008) I have been lucky to grab a couple of bronze medals. The bar has
been raised and it’s taking me some time to get back to winning ways. The
club though is thriving and healthy and although I can’t make every week I
find the whole experience very stimulating.
Lots of decent people and
far too many great images !. I’ve posted a few of mine for you to peruse,
don’t be too harsh on me, after all I’m still learning !
