Hi….I’m Mike….I call myself a wildlife photographer even though most of my stuff is captive.  I consider that from a photographic point of view it’s much the same thing.
My photographic course was set a few years ago when I got the opportunity to visit The Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent to photograph big cats up close.  While I haven’t learned a great deal in the intervening years my pictures appear to have got better due in no small part through lots of practice.

My most notable photographic achievement to date was when, on Monday 13th. July 2009.  I entered 3 images in a digital image competition at Wakefield Camera Club and all 3 of my images made it to the final 5.…I didn’t win but what can you do ? …..LOL
The first 3 of these pictures are  those 3 images you may think it says little for the competition I was up against but I was extremely pleased and for one brief, breath holding minute I hoped for 1st. 2nd. & 3rd.  Wouldn’t that have been something ? …LOL …but it was not to be…
