Stratford upon Avon

Carole and I went to Stratford to stay with some friends for the weekend so of course I took my camera.  The weather was great with some sun and lots of interesting clouds and there were plenty of things to photograph.  There were a lot of tourists to get in the way of course but some of the quieter places were great.  I particularly liked Upper and Lower Slaughter.

Here are some of the better images from those two days.

Baptist Church

I may get round to taking out the telephone wires eventually :o(

Cross That Bridge

This is my friend Ian giving me a focal point for the picture.  I asked him to look away because I do not like 'walking towards' and 'eye contact' at the same time - I feel it tends to look threatening.  I preferred it in black & white despite losing that gorgeous Cotswold stone colour.

Envy

Carole's turn to model and I am sure she is actually thinking about the heating bills for a place like this.

Trike

Not my usual sort of subject but I liked the 'black and shiny' against the old stone of the mill.

Picnic by the Avon

When I spotted this church I was cursing being on the wrong side of the river but I saw this family and grabbed the foreground detail with both hands.
