Hi,
I’m Treasurer of our club, and have been seriously interested in photography since about 1983 when I got my first SLR camera. I converted to digital in 2002, my first camera being a Sony Cybershot, but went back to using Nikons with a Coolpix 3100, upgrading to my current Nikon D40 DSLR in 2007.
I enjoy mostly shooting landscapes and architecture, mostly on days out or on holiday, but love to dabble in Elements 6 to produce digitally manipulated images. Many club members were shooting in RAW, and I got the bug for this around July 2008. HDR seems to be the ‘in thing’ right now, and though not converted to this, I’ve since started using a Photoshop plug-in called Topaz Adjust, which gives very impressive HDR-like results, and love using it to enhance my images.
