The On-Line Monthly Competition
Each member may submit one (1) jpeg image each month by
emailing the image to the Webmaster (currently David
Hall at wellerchap@talktalk.net ) at any time from the
1st to the 20th of that month.
The email will contain the members name, membership
number and the title of the image you’d like displaying.
Images will be resized by the webmaster for use on the
webpage (please ensure they’re a minimum of 750 pixels
wide)...and will be placed on a plain black background -
no alteration will be made by the webmaster to the
appearance (other than resizing), so think about stroke
lines etc to enhance appearance on a black background
before submitting.
The images will be posted on a Monthly Competition Page
on our web site from the 22nd of the month (or as soon
as is practical).
Each competition will be themed and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd
selected by the judge at the end of the month.
Individual marks will not be given.
The December competition will be restricted to only
those images that have been placed in the other monthly
competitions in the year and a medal (or other suitable
permanent memento) will be awarded to the winner of that
competition.
An external judge will be appointed to select 1st, 2nd
and 3rd from the December competition.
The winner of each monthly competition (not December)
will be asked to select the theme for the next month’s
competition and to judge that competition (though may
not enter).
The winner of the November competition will select the
theme and judge the January competition.
(To start the competition off, the subject for February
2012 will be “Movement” and the judge will be President,
Steve Wood.)
