On the 17th of January, Wakefield CC hosts Andrew Hersom who will be presenting his talk entitled “Entering International Competitions – My Experience”. Andrew will also include how he prepares for FIAP and PSA exhibitions with some of acceptances and failures he has had along the way.

On the 31st January we will be having a Table Top / Still life practical evening, so being your camera and maybe something to photograph – could be an ornament, some flowers, food – anything to have a go at a table top set up.
On the 7th of February, Wakefield host this round of the Mersea Island Competition. This is an external competition featuring images from clubs based all around the UK. The competition is made up of two leagues, initially battling it out before the Winners go head to head in a final league.
On the 14th of February, yes it is Valentines day, but more importantly Wakefield Camera Club hosts its first Members Showcase of the Year. These proved to be very popular last year and it was great seeing what Members like to photograph. So do get down early, grab a seat and see just what your fellow members get up to with their Camera.
The 28th of February see the first of our new format Club Photographer Competition.
