Clubman Open for Business
The Wakefield Camera Club annual Clubman competition kicked off the 2021 season with a submission of 81 images providing Royston Packer (DPAGB, AWPF, LSINWP), the judge for the evening, then unenviable job of scoring each image out of 20 on in own merits then picking his favourites for the placings.
The Clubman has been amended for the 2021 season. Unfortunately, the Print section has been cancelled and to allow members greater flexibility with their submissions there are no set subjects. All 5-rounds will be an Open competition and members can submit up to three images with the two highest scoring contributing to their overall annual score. You can read more about the rules of the Clubman competition here. Please direct any questions about the rules to our Competition Secretary.
Royston Packer (DPAGB, AWPF, LSINWP) is a well known local photographer from Doncaster with many awards and recognition for his wildlife photography, you can see more of his work on his website. Royston was able to provide comments and feedback for each image, scoring as he went except for the held back images which kept the tension as to who would top the leaderboard right until the very end. The evening ended with members thanking Royston with an enthusiastic round of applause. Entries for round 2 are due to be submitted using PhotoEntry by the 22nd March.
