Harmony or Discord? – The April Online competition results are in

It’s a bit late this month because of being busy with the YPU Assembly and Exhibition but I’m now ready to tell you the results. Sally Robinson was the judge this time and to be fair to her she did give me her results before the end of April. Apologies for the delay. Anyway on with the show. The theme for April was “Music” so plenty of opportunity for imaginative members. However, with only 10 entries, it seems it was a difficult job to come up with an image. There were ten gallant entries for Sally to look at and here are her comments.

Hi Steve,

The winners are
A well thought out composition.   Full of nostalgia  makes you want to pick the sax up . Well done.
A difficult picture to take, but i feel the author has captured plenty of detail and atmosphere.
I like the quirkiness of this picture .  Could be an album cover from back in the 80s.  Sadly there are a few mark on the picture which look like they could have come from dirt on the lens.  Good effort though .

Thank you for letting me have a go at judging.  Have enjoyed it even though it was difficult due to the great pictures

Thanks for those comments Sally. Now for the Authors. In first place was Sax Appeal by Nigel Hazell, second was Jumpin’ Jack Flash by Sally Sallett and in thirsd was Beach Proms by Peter Marsh. Well done to all. The theme for May is “Circles” so stop going round in them and get your image in. Closing date as usual by 20th May.
