My Photographic Journey
Members and guests were excited to welcome Lee Sutton. His journey did not start with a camera as a child but just 8 short years ago when he retired after 19-years as a bouncer. What Lee has achieved in just 8-years is quite remarkable, an inspiration for us all. Just take a look at his awards page to get a really good idea.
We’ve heard people say you must pick a theme or specialise, Lee has done just that with every theme and every genre of photography. He tries it and either sticks with it or moves on, but all his work is too a really high standard. Lee loves to experiment. Working as a professional wedding photographer he also fines time to judge, enter national and international competitions and offer feedback at critique evenings.
We saw images covering every theme imaginable there were Wedding Images, Fine Art Images, Wildlife, Portraits, Sport, Compositions, Effects, Pet Portraits, Fine Art Flowers, Street Photography and Landscapes. But not only were images excellent they each had a story told in Lee’s own imitable style making for a thoroughly entertaining even. There were one or two bouncer stories thrown in for good measure.
It was interesting to see how Lee has progressed, he showed a number of images that had been edited many years ago and how he would edit them now having learnt the tools of his trade.
There are one or two images in the gallery below and you can contact Lee or see more of his work on his website, which also contains links to his social media feeds. We look forward to welcoming Lee back to Wakefield Camera Club to see what he can achieve in the next 8-years.
