Our Very Own Oscars!

Our Very Own Oscars!

Well ok, it’s our Awards Evening I’m talking about here. Held every year, it is a celebration of our terrific photographers and their splendid photography.

Over the course of the year the club holds four rounds of our Club Photographer Competition. Each round is split into a print and digital section. A tally of points scored is kept to determine not only the overall champion, but also the print and digital worker of the year too. Our overall 2023 Club Photographer was won by Peter Wells (the flamingo image above, was part of his winning portfolio) with Neil Clarke taking the top slot in the print section with Peter Wells also taking the digital crown.

Also receiving awards were the successful entrants to the Annual Competitions and the Maurice Biglin Trophy for Wildflower Photography. There are four sections to the annuals; Open Print of the Year, Applied Print of the Year, Open Digital Image of the Year and the Applied Digital Image of the Year. You can see the winning images in the gallery below.
